The composition is reportedly prevalent with carefully selected natural ingredients. Fresh top notes of Calabria bergamot encounter ambroxan, obtained from precious ambergris, and its woody trail. Sourced from a Sri Lankan plantation that has worked with Dior for over 10 years, the Sandalwood in Sauvage Parfum boasts rich nuances and exceptional quality derived from special farming practices. A difficult plant to cultivate, it is supervised during the early stages of growth and then ‘released’ into a totally wild plantation where nature takes its course. In this harsh, natural environment, each tree battles to spread its branches and thrive, sometimes reaching 100 years of age and growing over 12 meters tall! This is what creates the unique olfactory qualities of the rare Sandalwood essence in Sauvage.
